The Bruce Robinson Rally
In 2025 Lincoln Motorcycle & Car Club are reviving a famous name in local road rallying – The Bruce Robinson. Unlike the last time the event ran in 2020, this time around it is coming back as a Multi Venue Targa Rally. The last few years have seen a rise in Targa Rallying and the club and organising team, think that the time is right to revive “The Bruce” in an all new format. Utilising many famous venues of previous Bruce events, and re-kindling our long standing relationships with our local landowners, the all new Bruce will carry on the tradition of a fun and great value event. The date will be Sunday 12th October 2025.
As a Lincolnshire based club and event we are also proud to recognise the county’s heritage as home to Bomber Command during world war 2. This is reflected in our all new event logo.
The organising team comprises of some familiar faces from previous Bruce events as well as new people who are active targa competitors. The team is being led by Clerk of the Course Martin Freeman, who has spent the last couple of years competing on targa’s up and down the country, from single venue events to large multi venue targa’s.
We have also attracted a main sponsor for “The Bruce” in the form of Dan Ellmore and his Rallying Is Life clothing brand. Many of you will know Dan from his exploits in the Historic Rallying world with his famous Autoplas MG Metro 6R4. A true enthusiastic member of LMC&CC and of our rallying world in general.
We are looking forward to inviting you all to be part of this great new event, whether that be as a competitor, marshal or official. We can wait to have you all along for the ride. Please keep checking the event web page and dedicated Facebook page for further updates.
